New CAD renders of an upcoming Sony Xperia smartphone is shown to reveal some exciting new features in 2019. The renders, courtesy of @OnLeaks and MySmartPrice, show an Xperia phone – which they have dubbed the Xperia XZ4 – with a triple camera array on the rear, and the return of the side-mounted fingerprint sensor (rejoice!)
This is a tall, skinny phone which is most likely adopting a 2.1 ratio display. According to the leak, it will come with a 6.5-inch display and have dimensions of 166.9 x 72.4 x 8.2mm (at its thickest point it will be 9mm thick). Unfortunately it doesn’t look like we will see the return of a 3.5mm jack.
Sony only released one phone in 2018 that had dual cameras, so to see a triple-array camera on its 2019 smartphone will be exciting to see. It’s hard to be sure if we are looking at a new flagship device, or mid-ranger, but we’ll bring you any more news as we have it.
