Sony Mobile has been busy updating a range of its smartphones to include the latest 1 December 2018 Android security patches. First of all, the Xperia XZ1, XZ1 Compact and XZ Premium have seen their build numbers move from 47.2.A.2.33 to version 47.2.A.4.41.

In addition, the Xperia XZs has seen its build number move from 41.3.A.2.192 to build 41.3.A.2.213. Unfortunately, there is no similar update for the Xperia XZ and X Performance, that were previously running on the same software track.

Sony’s 2018 mid-rangers, the Xperia XA2, XA2 Plus and XA2 Ultra have also seen 1 December 2018 added. The firmware has moved from 50.1.A.13.83 to version 50.1.A.13.123. No other changes have been noticed so far.
