in Xperia Neo

Xperia neo VWe have not heard too much about the Sony Ericsson Xperia neo V since it was announced a month ago. The handset is identical to the Xperia neo apart from sporting a weaker 5MP camera sensor, as opposed to the 8.1MP Exmor R camera sensor in the original Xperia neo. The reasons behind this new SKU relate component shortages following the Japan earthquake earlier in the year.

Spanish mobile phone operator, Movistar, will begin stocking the handset from tomorrow (1 October), where you’ll be able to get the handset for free on an unspecified contract plan. SE Spain confirmed that it will launch with Android 2.3.4. For those in the UK, pre-orders are open at Play.com who have the phone for a very reasonable £259.99 and an expected 10 October release. It is also up for pre-order in India through Letsbuy.com, who have it for INR 17,999 and expect it to launch on 12 October.
