We have known for a while now that the rumoured Sony ST21i smartphone, codenamed Tapioca, would be an entry level Xperia handset. Techblog.gr has confirmed this and has also revealed the first photos of the device. The Sony ST21i will come with three capacitive buttons on the front. The design looks broadly similar to the Xperia sola in terms of how the display sits separately to the chassis.
The specs are exactly as we reported last year. The Sony ST21i will have a 3.2-inch (320 x 480) display, Qualcomm MSM7227 800MHz processor with Adreno 200 GPU, 512MB RAM, 3MP camera with no LED flash shooting video at VGA resolution (640 x 480). It will come with a 1460mAh battery and will launch with Android 4.0 ICS. More news on this as we have it.
