Sony Xperia J outed as name for upcoming ST26i handset

The Indonesian Postel regulatory site continues to unveil the marketing names for upcoming Sony Xperia handsets. It has a 100 percent success rate so far so we have no reason to doubt that the upcoming 4-inch handset with model number ST26i will be called the Sony Xperia J on release.

The Xperia J is believed to be another low-range offering with a 4-inch (480 x 854) display, 1GHz single-core processor (MSM7627A chipset) and will launch with Android 4.0.4. Little else is known at this stage, although recent photos suggest that this could be one of the first Xperia phones to launch without the Sony Ericsson liquid energy logo.

I though L is large, M is Medium, S is small…

Logically, If Sony is so confident of bringing so many (single core + Android 4.0.4 ICS) combination phones to the market…then I’m thinking that Sony must have found a Brilliant way to optimize the Android 4.0.4 OS for smooth and great performance even on low-end phones !! That can only be good news for Every Xperia smartphone owner !!

even poor companies like LG, Huawei, Sharp and Panasonic provide their smartphones with last technology such BLUTOOTH v4, better with more than 1800 mAh and QUAD CORE CPU
If you keep depending on your name “SONY” then you will not succeed in smartphones sector

Not every phone needs to be a flagship! There are people who do not want to spend a fortune on their phone, if Sony is to survive they will have to appeal to that market as well.

Now it’s getting confusing.. I thought the numbering is in line with the screen diagonal.. since resolution doesn’t co-related with the code numbering.. like ST-25 (xperia U) vs ST-27 (xperia Go) but they both has 3.5″ screen with dual core, OK so maybe the IP67 that make xperia Go is above U in numbering.. But now there is xperia J, ST-26 with 4″ screen with only single core? Why don’t make the first letter become M or L instead of S??
