in Videos, Xperia T

The Sony Xperia T (LT30p) has only just been announced, but we’ve come across the first unboxing video for the handset already. Inside the box you seem to get a screen protector and cleaning cloth, micro USB charging cable, MHL to HDMI convertor (probably not available in all SKUs), headset and Xperia SmartTags. Check out the video with some nice accompanying lounge music below.

haha, that comes with a lot more in the box than my GX came with!
GX came with headphones and documentation… and the device itself.

I’m still waiting for the TV dock to arrive and there is no MHL to HDMI adapter available specifically for my GX from the carrier or sony store other than the TV Dock (which is only available from the carrier and they don’t even stock it) so, I think it’s great that the T comes with that adapter.

  • sony fan (troll mode)

first? I prefer Xperia V , Sony For Life!!

  • weeeeee8888888888

    Love the BGM NICE!!!!!!!

  • miki69

    count me in!

  • Dacha

At 2:22 in the video the documents that come with the phone are visible but the model number listed on the document is MT27i?

  • Can’t you use just any MHL to HDMI adapter? Or is Sony playing the Samsung-Game, so that you are forced to purchase a special SONY adapter for the GX?

  • Coolkid

    LMAO… Troll mode…!!!

  • surethom

When will Sony give a phone with a more useful battery of 2100mAH or bigger so I dont have to charge my phone once or twice a day ????

  • Chelios

I think they’re producing too many phones and are slacking off in the quality department. I’m definitely not picking one up for awhile, not in the mood for another failphone like my Xperia S and his yellow spotty screen. Releasing this many phones deteriorates the value as well. Prices drop like a brick after a few weeks, which is very frustrating when you just bought a new phone.

  • naathaanS

You do know that is the defect of the early production and you could’ve gone back to Sony to change it

  • Chelios

It’s not an early production. It came out of the box with Android 4.04. And hearing about the horror stories of dealing with Sony customerservice, I’d rather not and just endure the yellow spots. Lesson learned though. The Arc S was a brilliant phone, but imo the Xperia S is the opposite. I’m not sure if I want to take a(n expensive) gamble with the new line of phones. Too many, too quickly.

This has S4, which is quite a power efficient processor…u wont have a problem of battery backup on this one with 1800mAH battery!!!

  • afzal

Iam not facing any dificulty dealing with sony service center in malaysia. My just got replace with a new device inbox after 2nd time replace the screen with yellow tint problem. By the way samsung n apple also had this same kind of error regarding yellow tint issue. by having variant line up makes sony more appeal in display at the retail outlet and give more wider choices for consumer. Thats a good thing for bisnes.

This have to be the MOST BEAUTIFUL unboxing ever oh the name of the song is BARRIE GLEDDEN STEVE DIAMOND AND JASON PEDDER CALLED EARTH PROJECT. Can’t wait to buy this phone

  • Dylan

I’m waiting for the 2013 Xperia line and then I will change my Xperia Arc S some how 2012 wasn’t the year for Sony. Waiting for a quad core Xperia phone whit 2 GB RAM and Nvidia Tegra 3 or 4 or Snapdragon S5 quad core whit Adreno 320.

  • dereknobuyuki

I think you should be able to use a generic adapter.
Sony only has the TV dock which is much more convenient anyways.
But, there are no adapaters Sony or otherwise in major electronics shops here last time I looked. I’d have to start looking in small obscure akihabara shops or online instead it seems.

  • good eyes! hmm printing error? cause its not finall

  • i’m GAMER

DAMN YOU SONY , we need xperia play 2 :(

  • miki69

I’ve made up my mind – Xperia T is my next phone! I like idea of sealed battery (nothing moves, no squeaks and creaks, no back-cover to get loose after some time), high quality rubberized back…
Don’t know if you have noticed at 2:34 this side flap doesn’t seem perfectly aligned with the rest of the body (something mobile-review already talked about). Maybe it’s just fooling my eyes….

Anyways, amazing job, amazing design….amazing Sony

  • Will any of the new devices support the fast charging technology ?

  • Chelios

So a tard that fails to write proper english gets 4 ups, but because I have problems with my S I get voted down? You fandroids are getting worser than the applefolks.

  • Devils_95

I agree, but I think the USA is going to get a metal back instead of a rubber or plastic one. Anyway, any one know what the giant opening on the side is for?

  • miki69

usb micro connector for charging/data transfer.

  • dereknobuyuki

Wow, I thought you’d get the first device to come along with the Exmor RS =)

I wouldn’t be surprised if that flap isn’t flush to make it easier to open (those flaps on waterproof phones are really tough and annoying to get those flaps open!). That being said, these probably aren’t completely final hardware.
Or, the people producing the video neglected to completely close the flap? ^_^

  • Will definitely love to get this. I hope they release it soon cuz I want it, like, NOW! in the market for a new phone and would love to get my hands on this ASAP!
