The Sony Xperia ZL (C650X) has popped up on PC Companion and the Sony Update Service (SUS), highlighting that its launch is a matter of weeks away. Only one version of the handset is listed so far, despite there being three variants: two LTE versions (C6503, C6506) and a HSPA+ version (C6502).
The Xperia ZL has been somewhat overshadowed by the Xperia Z since announcement. The one big feature it misses is a water/dust resistant body. However it has some worthy features of its own including infra-red blaster, dedicated camera button and a smaller chassis, despite housing the same specs and display. The handset is due to go on sale in Russia over the next week.
