Is this an official render of the Xperia SP?

The render below appears to be doing the round on Chinese sites at the moment, purporting to be an official press image of the rumoured Sony Xperia SP. The design looks broadly similar to the leaked in the wild pics we’ve already seen, but it’s difficult to tell whether it’s official or whether someone has just done a good Photoshop job here. It carries the same signature power button from the Xperia Z/ZL and Xperia Tablet Z and looks similar to the Xperia ZL. Hopefully, we’ll find out one way or another within the next week.

Maybe I’ll just wait for this since the Z is waaay out of my budget. Splash resistance would suffice for me, but waterproof is better

wonder why still there are no leaked images of Xperia L : i think it will be similar to this design. without the transparent strip.

Wow really nice design in white. but none can match the ZL with red stripe zoom.. zoom.. (hopefully the will out this with the same stripe as ZL)

maybe its real xperia l because its design difrent from z or zl in this bottom their is metal strip or it illumination bar

It’s Xperia SP. Earlier post on this blog showed the black version of this device. And it is a transparent strip, not sure about illumination.

Fake! The lines don’t match. The transparent bar was simply pasted over some mockup that reminds me a bit of the line Arc 2012 and the Nxt line.Of course, there are also details of the Xperia Z.

Sony, For whatever’s sake, get rid of the gigantic useless bottom bezel on your phones if you decided to stick with on-screen keys. It’s a huge waste of space – so shrink the bezel quite a bit.. Or just dump the on-screen keys and put the keys on the bezel .

I know this as my cousin works in a store in Texas and he told me they received the lte variant. Won’t the lte variant work on h+ as mine works on both. The store he works in sells them unlocked and on pay as you go. Not contract

It’s almost certainly real. Even if this is a rendering, we still have seen spy pics of the phone and it is like this. Only worry is that the rear didn’t look nearly as nice as the front on these leaked images.
