Xperia T update

A minor firmware update for the Sony Xperia T (LT30p) appears to be out. The numbering of firmware build version 9.1.A.1.141 is so close to the last version (9.1.A.1.140), that we imagine it only includes some very minor bug fixes. If you’ve updated, let us know what changes you have noticed.

Sources for 141 have been released one month ago on sony dev site…

  • Silas Arentsen

New kernel and baseband. XDA member says that the phone won’t crash during calls and more bug fixes! I haven’t found anything yet

  • Kaostheory

Apparently the only way to fix sod is to replace the phone. I’m on T number 3. So far no sod.

  • michael

    crying for the ion upgrade

  • josephnero

    have you tried rooting?

  • Murad

    waiting for Xperia V

  • Silas Arentsen

    no, sorry i won’t either ;)

  • APai

oh that’s good, i’ve had a few odd occasions when the phone rebooted in the middle of calls or just when receiving the call – mighty irritating

  • Sony book a event for 25 of this month!
    the news is in portuguese

    but we have this image

  • Xyor

Does the lock screen in this firmware finally become the same as Z’s? as I can use full screen wallpaper?

  • Xyor

It’s only me or everyone’s Ts are still having a black bar in the lock screen?

  • Sucharek

  • DoucheyTuesday

So you’re admitting it was funny at some point in the dim and distant past…thanks for the freaking compliment, Mr Comedyjudge. Dmitry has left the building…

  • DoucheyTuesday

Sad for you…nooooot! Thank you Sony you marvellous corporation for this magnificent update!!! It makes me want to jump on a plane to Tokyo and lick Kazuo Hirai’s furry butthole out (thumb this up if you feel the same way!)

  • DoucheyTuesday

Are you on .140 cos that problem should have gone.

  • When there is actually a need for 4.2? I would rather they skip 4.2 and get the latest version (Key Lime Pie or Jelly Bean V3) out quickly.

  • Nico81

    I’m on .141…

  • Arokhantos

    1 year after 4.3 released

  • Aishwary

guyzz listen on PTCRB there is a new firmware certified for XPERIA ION 6.2.B.0.211 on 7 JUNE …

  • You should be complaining to your carrier, as they are usually the ones holding back the update.

  • Utsav Shah

    me too

  • DoucheyTuesday

That problem went away with the last update (.140), buddy. Has it come back with .141?! Ahhhh Dmiiiiiiiiiiitryyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

  • Nico81

It never went away for me…

  • Oh well.
I’m Bean, not Mr. Bean, but Jelly Bean.

  • Poor Dmitry…

  • Silas Arentsen

Battery usage is not something you know right after update. Try to use it a week or so and see if it is better.

  • DoucheyTuesday

Well yeh but any version which is completely bug-free would be nice. Nice, too, if they fixed their retarded MusicUnlimited app while they’re at it (are you reading this, Dmitry?!)

nah they not reading this, because this is unoficial blog, and because they already have your money.
If you wan’t changes improvement you need to vote with your wallet, by not giving sony your money untill they fix it, only then they will listen.

  • DoucheyTuesday

You’re one negative dude..go out and catch some sunshine or something.

  • Arokhantos

So you sugesting me to buy broken sony smartphones or tablets ?

  • Tell me, which current smartphone & tablet of theirs that’s broken?

  • Really? Time to watch both movies again.

  • jamesbdx

yay, update available over PCC for french users!!! nothing new of note a part from it’s not possible to root with Bin4ry method and the general feel of the phone is smoother

  • sam

When the hell are they going to fix the operating system properly? I don’t know if it’s Android or Sony, but really, it’s a complete mess. I hate every bit of it. You have to hunt around for ages just trying to change some settings. It’s ridiculous.
Why is the text messaging menu so hopeless?..
Choose the messaging icon on the bottom of the screen… now, at the top of the screen, tap the pencil with the + sign, to compose a text… Ok, you wish to look through your address book and choose who to send to… tap the head and + sign on the top right… you get your address book and a check box next to each name… try putting a tick in any of those and you would think the names enter the ‘To’ bar, wouldn’t you?.. Oh, but it doesn’t. Hopeless! Like I said, the whole operating system is rubbish.

  • jay

download an flash the pre-rooted deodexed version

  • lebron

Not for everybody, i am still on 140 :(, your XT is rooted?

  • Caio Faria

No, Sony has not fixed this bug. I’ve been waiting a long time, that black bar bothers me.

  • Caio Faria

    Mine always had, never disappears.

  • Xyor

YES!!!! Now only V and T have this issue….The TX owner have a totally different firmware that is much bugless…

  • Caio Faria

Because Sony does not fix a simple problem with this? It’s annoying to see that the Xperia Z have the wallpaper in full screen, and Xperia T with that black bar useless. I am also not satisfied with the battery performance :/

  • Dave

Update Schmuckdate… Bookmarks constantly default to useless embedded Sony folder with four pointless bookmarks. Not end of world but annoying. Oh, and email stopped pushing through. Gggrrrrrrrrrr.

  • JAKonaROLL

i noticed that since the update my wifi connections have all deleted from my connections list and everytime i try to turn wifi on it fails and stops trying to turn on – brilliant update sony, i was happy before and now im not

  • JAKonaROLL

nvm restarted it seems to be good now

  • andy roid

Seriously not happy with time it takes to charge! Sometimes when running apps I get battery drain while charging and other times the light goes off and wont charge at all! Is this overheat protection or just the xperia t with crappy sony updates?
