Camera360 Sony QX10Just a quick update to let users of the Sony QX10 and QX100 know that popular camera app, Camera360, has received a new update (v4.7.7) to bring support for a new shooting mode for the Lens-Style cameras. This has been made possible by Sony opening up its camera add-on API. You can download the app from the Google Play Store.

Good job Sony, if only everyone else could do the same to every add-on, that would be great!

  • Not good news so far. Using the QX10 – it can copy 2MP images over okay, but go for the full quality images and it’s failing every time (timing out?) before it can transfer and allow me to save the image.

It’s also worth noting that when the camera takes multiple shots (e.g. in low light) it gives the impression that it’s already taken the shot – which might lead to a fair few blurred results.

Just to be clear, is this with Camera360? We’re in touch with the devs, so we can send them your feedback.

  • Yes, Camera360 (see pics).

Let me add that the photos I took were still saved to the memory card and could be retrieved later via the original app.

Also, I upgraded to 14.1.G.2.257 a few hours previous – in case any Wi-Fi changes/optimisations could be affecting the app?

Thanks Jonathan – we’ll pass on your feedback!

What the?!! Not good, you’re downgrading the image quality of the photo by using 360 app.

Camera 360 is ok but it supply terrible effects, just have a look into HDR result or some other camera 360 effects are mostly over saturated and we can’t re-edit the results :-(
