We all know what the Sony Xperia Z1 mini will look like as it has already been announced by NTT DoCoMo in Japan. However, many are waiting to hear if the handset will make its way outside of Japan. The evidence is certainly pointing that way and now we have another huge leak.
The photos below show the phone, expected to be called the Xperia Z1s, with a Sony logo on the front rather than NTT DoCoMo confirming this is the international version. Another picture of the About screen also shows the phone with model number D5503 running Android 4.3 firmware with build version 14.2.A.0.205. The DoCoMo version has model number SO-02F.
A ruler is used in the pictures to give a sense of dimension, confirming that this is the diminutive version of the Xperia Z1. The screenshots also seem to confirm the use of 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The Android 4.3 UI that Sony is using, is not much different from the UI seen in the Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra running Android 4.2.2. Hit the source link for even more screenshots from the device. All of this suggests that the ‘Xperia Z1 mini’ announcement is a matter of when and not if.
