Sony surprised us all this morning, by announcing the release of two new smartphones: the entry level Xperia E1 and mid-range Xperia T2 Ultra. Whilst Sony flagged that both handsets are targeted towards emerging markets, both will see a release in Europe (at least the single SIM versions) this Spring.
In terms of pricing, we understand that the Xperia E1 will have a RRP of €129 in Belgium, rising to €139 in Germany and €149 in the Netherlands. We’re not sure if the dual SIM versions will be available, but if so, it will have a RRP of €149 in Germany. The 6-inch Xperia T2 Ultra will have a RRP of €399 across Europe. We have yet to see any retail pre-order listings, but it can’t be long before they go live.
