Sony is on a real drive to keep leaks from its mobile division down to a minimum. We have seen the posters adorning some Sony buildings in the past and apart from the leaks over the last few days, the company’s actions have been paying off.
The screenshot below shows what happens if someone testing an unannounced Sony Xperia prototype tries to install a benchmarking app. The reason why Sony doesn’t want testers loading these apps is that these can reveal the specs of the device. We understand that the pop-up isn’t just a warning, but actually stops you from loading these apps.
