Xperia X, XZ and X Performance update adds August 2017 security patches

Sony is currently rolling new firmware updates for a number of Xperia X series handsets, updating to the latest 1 August 2017 Android security patch. The Xperia XZ and X Performance has seen their firmware builds move from 41.2.A.7.35 to version 41.2.A.7.53. The Xperia XZs is also likely to see the same build released shortly.

The Xperia X has seen its firmware build move from 34.3.A.0.206 to version 34.3.A.0.217. The Xperia X Compact should also follow suit shortly, although the update is not live at the time of writing. We are not aware of any other changes in these updates, but if you’ve noticed anything new, let us know in the comments below.
