Sony H8324 model number appears in UAProf

by XB on 1st December 2017

in Rumours

It looks like another Xperia smartphone might be in the works, as a Sony H8324 model number has been uncovered through its user-agent profile (UAProf). The Sony H83XX template number is likely to be a premium phone, but no other details are known at this stage, apart from the 1080 x 1920 (16:9) display resolution.

This follows on from the Sony mid-range Sony H4133 (H41XX) that appeared on GFXBench recently, which is rumoured to have a 5.2-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 630 chipset, 3GB RAM, Android Oreo, a 23MP rear camera and 8MP selfie camera. We’ll bring you further details on both handsets when we have them.

Get with the 18:9 bezel-less program, Sony Mobile!

  • RockStar2005

    Agreed

  • Abrar Zahin Shahriar

I sure hope these new phones have native DSD playback via Qualcomm Aqstic.

  • Moisés

    Playstation uses 16:9
Sony Pictures uses 16:9 and 21:9
    Videocameras record 16:9

Mobile follows other divisions.. 18:9 is impossible

It will probably be almost like Mate 10, but with front speakers.

  • Stuart Gardoll

    Lol… What rubbish.

The mobile market is moving to 18:9. To say it’s impossible while other manufacturers can do it is ridiculous.

  • Alfino Setya

As long as it doesn’t have “notch and horns” on the top area of display. I’m agreed!

  • Stuart Gardoll

    Ha… Agreed!

  • Vuyo Ncube

This is a midranger. Chill. Maybe it’ll be 16:9 bezel-less.

  • Geralt

Go buy your rubbish whatever abcd phone. Leave Sony with its proper customers who really knows what really makes sense and what just does not.

Sony releases next flagship with dual camera new camera features

  • lolop

I don’t understand why you’re getting so defensive. The whole market WILL move to a different aspect ratio. It’s just a matter of time. I don’t mind having 16:9 for the moment though.

  • Sultan Albatati

please dont move to rubbish aspect ratio. stay in 16:9 but with small display like at c5, xa ultra and xa1 ultra.

  • Richard Brutski

Get with the program. Be a sheep.

  • Francis Troy Fabrigas

18:9 is cool, but until then, it needs far better utilization. Most of the contents today are in 16:9, so that leaves some part of the screen unused. Any efficient way of using it is a great welcome, because that has always been my problem with taller screen ratios. Instead of a great quality front camera and speakers like on Xperias, we get a 18:9 screen with wasted top and bottom portions.

  • Moisés

    TV is not 18:9.
    Cameras dont record 18:9.

    Impossible to make content 18:9

  • Moisés

Sony does not want black bars. Nor strechted videos.
Mate 10 is an example of how it can be done.

Are you aware that 18:9 screens are smaller? https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/53f0f0e3011abb71c16ee96de84a14e30913602b1d8c088b8ba3a32c6272aa76.jpg

Probably new flagship will be like ZL. But ZL has 76% screen. Flagships may be near 80.
