Sony Ericsson has officially announced the Japanese-bound Xperia acro. We’ve already seen pretty much all there is to see with the handset so there are no surprises. The Xperia acro is a slightly thicker version of the Xperia arc but includes some extra features that are important to the Japanese market like an infrared port, NFC mobile wallet and a TV tuner.
The Xperia acro will launch with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and will be powered by a 1GHx Snapdragon processor, 4.3-inch display, 8.1MP Exmor R camera sensor with 720p HD video playback and a HDMI connector. The handset will be available in the summer in Japan in both Black and White colours.
