Mugen Power, the third-party specialist of extended batteries, has released its range of batteries for the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc. The first battery is rated at 1700mAh, a modest improvement over the 1500mAh-rated official battery. This battery can be used in the same case housing and will set you back $49.95 (Mugen Power deliver worldwide).
The second battery is a behemoth, it is rated at a whopping capacity of 4500mAh and as you would expect will need an entire new back cover given the thickness of the battery. Destroying the Xperia arc beauty by adding this much thickness is surely a crime too far. However, with a capacity three times that of the existing battery it will be ideal if you do a lot of travelling. This battery will set you back $129.95. At the time of writing, both handsets are out of stock, with the next delivery date pegged for 11 July.
