Japanese company Elecom will shortly release a new waterproof case for the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc. The new case (PD-SOX2WPWH) will protect your phone from both sand and water and will even allow you to operate the touchscreen under water! Sounds ideal for those hitting the beach this summer.
The case also has the necessary cutouts to allow you to take photos and videos underwater, no need for those dedicated waterproof cameras. There’s no price for this new IPX7 compliant case yet but it is expected to launch in Japan very soon. As with other Elecom products, it’s unlikely to be widely available in Western markets.
