Sony Ericsson has announced a partnership with game developer Popcap (recently acquired by EA) that will see three big Android titles bundled with the upcoming Xperia mini and Xperia mini pro.
The press release is slightly confusing as it talks of a “global partnership” but the games will be pre-loaded on devices only in Europe (maybe they will appear in other other markets over time). These are some big titles too, including Plants vs. Zombies, Peggle and Chuzzle. However, if you read the small print only one full game will be included (Chuzzle) the other two will have “unlimited trial modes,” with the option to purchase the full version in-game. It is good to see Sony Ericsson striking up partnerships with some of the biggest game developers, let’s hope it has more on the game front for Xperia PLAY owners too.
