This morning we reported on news on Sony Ericsson supposedly confirming that Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) would hit the 2011 range of Xperia handsets. The company has since backtracked with an official statement on the matter to SoMobile:
“When it comes to future platforms of the Android OS, we will make them available to consumers in a timely manner, as long as they improve the user experience and are viable from a hardware point of view.”
So the jury is out right now, but let’s hope Sony Ericsson comes good (as long as the hardware is capable of it).
