The new Sony Ericsson Xperia firmware (4.0.2.A.0.42) that we reported on yesterday is starting to roll out across Xperia arc handsets according to various reports we are receiving. This looks like the Android 2.3.4 update for all of those that were not on Nordic firmware who already received the Android 2.3.4 (4.0.1.A.0.283) firmware last month.
We are hearing that the generic versions of the firmware has been released in Austria Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands and Egypt. These people have had their firmware move from 4.0.A.2.368 straight to 4.0.2.A.0.42, which is what was expected. Still nothing for those in the UK though, although it shouldn’t be too long now. If anyone is seeing this firmware on other 2011 Xperia handsets, please let us know in the comments below.
