The latest Sony Ericsson Xperia arc / arc S firmware (4.0.2.A.0.58) was certified on 21 October 2011 according to PTCRB. It has eventually been released into Hong Kong, although judging by the first people to download it, the firmware looks like a minor update over the 4.0.2.A.0.42 firmware that is rolling out globally, which brought Android 2.3.4.
Judging by the reports, both battery life and performance seems to be better and there is also an improvement in wireless performance. The Chinese keyboard also has comes with a new colour. It’s unknown whether we will see this update outside Asia, however we’ll keep you posted. Check out some screenshots below.
