After a number of leaks regarding the Sony D6503 ‘Sirius’ the attention now turns to the Sony D6603, where the purported specs have just appeared on the AnTuTu benchmarking app. The graphic below, from AnTuTu, suggests that this handset will run the Qualcomm MSM8974AB chipset with 2.3GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 330 graphics, a 1080p display, 20.7MP rear camera, 16GB internal storage and 2GB RAM.
The 2GB RAM is surprising, given that the leaked Sony D6503 prototype came with 3GB RAM. However, the latter is not a dead cert, especially as Sony is likely to have several prototypes in the wild with various hardware configurations. Another graphic below shows the benchmarking performance of the Sony D6603 versus the Xperia Z (C6603) across various functions such as 2D/3D performance, RAM and CPU.
