SmartWatch 2 Widget APISony has released a new Widget API for the SmartWatch 2, which will allow developers to create clocks and widgets for the new watch face editor. The watch face editor is one of the best new features to come to the SmartWatch 2 in a recent update, allowing users to create customised watch faces with different faces and widgets as desired.

New clocks and widgets created by the developer can be pushed into the Google Play Store. Once installed, any new clocks and widgets will appear directly in the watch face editor. More choice for customisation from a consumer perspective can only be a good thing. The new Widget API for the SmartWatch 2 is available in the updated Sony Add-on SDK, full details and a tutorial can be found in the source link below.
