Sony Mobile could be planning to release the Xperia Z3+ into the United States judging by the official website. The Xperia Z3+ listing on the Sony Mobile US website popped out of nowhere at the end of last week and is listed as “coming soon”.
The product page appeared following the Verizon Xperia Z4v being listed and subsequently removed as we reported last week. Therefore, this could be Sony’s flagship answer for the US market considering the Xperia Z4v is now canned, for now at least. We imagine Sony will look to sell the Xperia Z3+ unlocked through retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, Newegg and B&H.
We know most US Xperia fans are looking forward to the Xperia Z5 instead, so we’re not sure how much traction the company will get with selling the Z3+. Hopefully, it is a short stop-gap measure until it can start selling the unlocked Xperia Z5 family.
