A couple of new photo samples from the upcoming Sony LT29i, codenamed Hayabusa, have just made an appearance on Picasa. The pictures themselves are not that exciting, one is of a plant pot whilst the other is of someone’s keyboard. However the EXIF information does reveal that the phone is running build number 7.0.A.0.599_53_b100. This compares to current software on the Xperia S which is on 6.0.A.3.73, implying that the 7.0.X firmware is the next major iteration of Sony Mobile’s UI (eDream 7).
The Sony LT29i is expected to have a +4-inch display with 720 x 1196 resolution implying no hard/capacitive buttons. It is also expected to be running the 1.5GHz dual-core S4 Snapdragon MSM8960 chipset from Qualcomm.
