The new ‘Smart Connect’ application from Sony Mobile is now available to download on the Google Play Store. The app replaces LiveWare manager, so if you have that installed on your Xperia handset, then you should receive a notification to update. However, you must be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the app to work.
As we detailed before, the app now integrates SmartTags support and introduces Events where you can create a sequence of tasks you want the phone to do when touching the NFC tag or connecting an accessory to the phone. As we mentioned in our previous post, think of this app as a lite version of Tasker. Each event can trigger 15 different actions. We are very much looking forward to taking the app for a spin as it sounds great, you can find it in the Play Store right now.
