Taiwanese media reports suggest that Sony will be announcing the Xperia Z2a on 10 June in the region. The handset is believed to be the global version of the Xperia ZL2, which launched in Japan recently through au by KDDI. If the news turns out to be true, then there is a chance that we could see the model roll out globally.
The Xperia ZL2 is similar to the Xperia Z2 in terms of specs but comes with a smaller 5.0-inch 1080p display, 3000mAh battery and 32GB of internal storage. It is also thicker and heavier than the Xperia Z2.
